Overview

FC004 is an autologous chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) T-cell therapy targeting mesothelin (MSLN). Developed by the Sun Yat-sen University Cancer Center, it is designed to treat mesothelin-expressing solid tumors, with a primary focus on recurrent or refractory ovarian epithelial carcinoma. Mesothelin is a cell-surface glycoprotein overexpressed in various cancers, including ovarian, pancreatic, and lung cancers, while maintaining low expression in normal tissues. FC004 is currently undergoing Phase 1 clinical evaluation in China to determine its safety, tolerability, pharmacokinetics, and preliminary anti-tumor activity in patients who have failed standard second-line treatments.
