Drug intelligence / Profile preview
FCN-539 is a small molecule inhibitor of B-cell lymphoma 2 (BCL-2) currently under development by Chongqing Fochon Pharmaceutical. BCL-2 is a key anti-apoptotic protein that plays a critical role in the survival of various cancer cells, particularly in hematologic malignancies like lymphoma, by preventing programmed cell death. By selectively binding to and inhibiting BCL-2, FCN-539 triggers the apoptotic process in malignant cells. The drug is currently in the IND-enabling phase, targeting lymphoma as its primary indication.
