Drug intelligence / Profile preview
FD-001 is a novel small molecule antineoplastic agent developed by Chengdu FenDi Pharmaceutical. It functions as a degradable molecular glue that targets and degrades peptide-chain-release factor 3 (GSPT1), thereby inhibiting its function. GSPT1 is involved in the regulation of cell cycle progression, specifically the transition from G1 to S phase, making it a promising target for hematological malignancies. FD-001 is currently being evaluated in Phase I clinical trials for safety, tolerability, pharmacokinetics, pharmacodynamics, and preliminary efficacy in patients with relapsed or refractory hematologic cancers such as acute myeloid leukemia (AML), myelodysplastic syndromes (MDS), non-Hodgkin's lymphoma (NHL), and multiple myeloma (MM)[1][2][3][5].
