Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Fe-12 Syrup is an oral nutritional supplement developed and marketed by Libra Drugs (India). It is formulated as a haematinic combination containing elemental iron, folic acid (vitamin B9), cyanocobalamin (vitamin B12), and elemental zinc. The supplement is primarily indicated for the prevention and treatment of iron deficiency anaemia, nutritional deficiencies, and anaemia associated with pregnancy, lactation, chronic blood loss, or convalescence. Iron supports haemoglobin synthesis and oxygen transport, while folic acid and vitamin B12 are essential for red blood cell maturation and DNA synthesis. Zinc is included to support immune function, cellular repair, and overall growth.
