Drug intelligence / Profile preview
**Fe3O4-PEG-GA** is an experimental gallic acid delivery nanocomposite developed at Universiti Putra Malaysia. It comprises magnetite iron oxide nanoparticles coated with polyethylene glycol and loaded with gallic acid, a small-molecule polyphenol. The formulation was designed to improve gallic acid loading and release and demonstrated greater in-vitro cytotoxic activity than free gallic acid in A549 lung cancer, MCF-7 breast cancer, and HT-29 colon cancer cell lines. It remains a research-stage anticancer nanomedicine without an approved product or established clinical route of administration. ([mdpi.com](https://www.mdpi.com/2079-4991/8/2/83))
