Overview

FEC75 + FEC95 refers to a combination chemotherapy regimen that includes two different dosing schedules of the FEC regimen, which itself is a combination of three cytotoxic agents: fluorouracil (5-FU), epirubicin, and cyclophosphamide. "FEC75" typically denotes fluorouracil 500 mg/m², epirubicin 75 mg/m², and cyclophosphamide 500 mg/m² per cycle; "FEC95" would refer to the same drugs with epirubicin at 95 mg/m² per cycle. These regimens are used sequentially or in comparison for the treatment of breast cancer, particularly in neoadjuvant or metastatic settings. The mechanism of action involves inhibition of DNA synthesis (fluorouracil), intercalation into DNA and inhibition of topoisomerase II (epirubicin), and alkylation/cross-linking of DNA (cyclophosphamide). The primary indication is breast cancer[1][3][5][6].
