Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Fecal microbiota transplant G3 is a microbial therapy consisting of frozen oral capsules containing a diverse consortium of live microorganisms derived from healthy donor stool. It is intended to restore gut microbiome diversity and health in patients who have undergone antibiotic treatment for *Clostridium difficile* infection (CDI). By re-establishing a balanced microbial community, the therapy aims to prevent CDI recurrence and mitigate the dysbiosis associated with standard antibiotic therapy. This third-generation formulation allows for non-invasive oral administration, offering a more accessible alternative to traditional delivery via colonoscopy or enema.
