Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Feiyan Qingjie Granules is a Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) formulation developed by the Guangzhou Eighth People's Hospital. Originally known as "Feiyan No. 1," it was specifically formulated to treat viral pneumonia and gained significant attention during the COVID-19 pandemic for its efficacy in treating mild cases of the disease. The granules are composed of several herbal ingredients, including *Lonicera japonica*, *Forsythia suspensa*, and *Scutellaria baicalensis*, which are traditionally used for their heat-clearing and detoxifying properties. In February 2020, the Guangdong Provincial Drug Administration approved it as a hospital preparation for the clinical treatment of COVID-19.
