Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Felcorekibart (GSK5784283) is a monoclonal antibody that targets thymic stromal lymphopoietin (TSLP), an epithelial-derived cytokine that acts as a key upstream regulator of airway inflammation. TSLP is released in response to various triggers (such as allergens, viruses, and pollutants) and initiates a cascade of inflammatory responses involving both type 2 (T2) and non-T2 pathways. By binding to and neutralizing TSLP, felcorekibart prevents its interaction with the TSLP receptor complex, thereby inhibiting the activation of downstream inflammatory cells like Th2 cells, ILC2s, and mast cells. Developed by GSK, the drug is currently in Phase 2 clinical development for the treatment of uncontrolled asthma in adults who remain symptomatic despite standard-of-care therapy with inhaled corticosteroids and additional controllers.
