Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Feline HCP is a core veterinary vaccine for cats, primarily developed and manufactured by Merck Animal Health. It is designed to protect against three highly contagious and potentially deadly feline viral diseases: Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis (caused by Feline Herpesvirus 1), Feline Calicivirus, and Feline Panleukopenia (also known as feline distemper, caused by Feline Parvovirus). The vaccine works by introducing modified live viruses to stimulate the cat's immune system to produce protective antibodies, thereby preventing future infections. It is distributed as part of campaigns like "Vaccinated and Loved" to provide essential pet healthcare.
