Drug intelligence / Profile preview
TVG's Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV) vaccine is a veterinary viral-vector vaccine currently in preclinical development for the prevention of FIV infection in cats. Developed by The Vaccine Group (TVG), the vaccine utilizes a proprietary herpesvirus-based viral vector platform engineered to express specific FIV antigens. This approach is designed to stimulate a robust and protective immune response, including both cellular and humoral components, to protect cats from the immunodeficiency syndrome caused by the FIV lentivirus. The use of a herpesvirus vector is intended to enhance the immunogenicity and efficacy of the vaccine compared to traditional platforms.
