Drug intelligence / Profile preview
**Femarelle** is a branded line of oral, non-hormonal dietary supplements developed by Se-cure Pharmaceuticals for symptoms associated with perimenopause, menopause, and postmenopause. Its common proprietary active is **DT56a**, a standardized soybean-derived enzymatic extract that has been described in clinical and experimental literature as having selective estrogen receptor modulator-like activity. Femarelle formulations vary by product and market; for example, Femarelle Recharge contains DT56a with flaxseed and vitamin B6. The legacy Femarelle product evaluated in clinical studies was generally administered as 322 mg twice daily and was studied for menopausal vasomotor symptoms, bone-related outcomes, and platelet/coagulation effects. A registered exploratory study of Femarelle for metabolic dysfunction-associated steatohepatitis was withdrawn. ([pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov](https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/21037489/))
