Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Fematin (also known as Fematin-A) is an over-the-counter (OTC) hematopoietic nutritional product developed and marketed by Cho-A Pharmaceutical in South Korea. The product contains ferritin extractive hydroglyceric as its active ingredient, which provides a bioavailable source of iron bound to the ferritin protein. Ferritin is the body's primary iron-storage protein, and its supplementation is intended to support hematosis (blood formation) and treat or prevent iron deficiency and anemia. Fematin is available in oral liquid formulations, including 10ml ampoules and syrup, and is a core product in Cho-A Pharmaceutical's portfolio of internal ampoule medicines distributed through pharmacies.
