Drug intelligence / Profile preview
FenAb024 (also known as PNSM024) is a monoclonal antibody developed by Panosome and licensed to Hepione Therapeutics for the treatment of carfentanil poisoning and as a biodefense countermeasure. It is designed to neutralize carfentanil, a highly potent synthetic opioid, by binding to the molecule in the bloodstream and preventing it from crossing the blood-brain barrier to interact with opioid receptors. This "immunopharmacotherapy" approach aims to provide protection for military personnel, first responders, and high-risk populations exposed to carfentanil. The drug is currently in preclinical development (lead selection phase).
