Overview

FenAcheSome is a liposomal topical formulation of diclofenac developed by Lifecare Innovations. As a non-selective non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID), it acts by inhibiting both cyclooxygenase-1 (COX-1) and cyclooxygenase-2 (COX-2) enzymes, thereby reducing the synthesis of pro-inflammatory prostaglandins. The product utilizes liposomal encapsulation technology to enhance the transdermal penetration of diclofenac into the epidermis and dermis while minimizing systemic exposure and associated side effects. It is primarily indicated for the relief of pain and inflammation associated with musculoskeletal conditions such as osteoarthritis, and clinical trials have demonstrated superior efficacy compared to conventional topical formulations.
