Drug intelligence / Profile preview
**Fendrix** is an AS04C-adjuvanted recombinant hepatitis B vaccine developed and manufactured by GSK. Each 0.5 mL dose contains 20 micrograms of recombinant hepatitis B surface antigen produced in *Saccharomyces cerevisiae*, adjuvanted with 3-O-desacyl-4'-monophosphoryl lipid A and aluminium phosphate. It is authorised in the European Union for active immunisation against hepatitis B virus infection in people aged 15 years and older with renal insufficiency, including pre-haemodialysis and haemodialysis patients. The vaccine induces hepatitis B surface antigen-specific immune responses and protective anti-hepatitis B surface antibodies.
