Fengshi Qutong Capsules

Fengshi Qutong Capsules (风湿祛痛胶囊, FSQTC) is a traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) formulation consisting of 19 herbal ingredients, including *Phellodendron amurense*, *Atractylodes Rhizome*, *Caulis spatholobi*, and safflower. It is approved in China for the treatment of rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, and various forms of musculoskeletal and rheumatic pain. The therapeutic effects are attributed to its ability to 'dry dampness, expel wind, and promote blood circulation' according to traditional principles. Modern pharmacological research indicates that FSQTC works through multiple molecular mechanisms, including the inhibition of the p-ERK/COX-2 signaling pathway, suppression of osteoclastogenesis via the RANKL/RANK/OPG axis, and the downregulation of MAPK, NF-κB, and AP-1 signaling pathways. The product is manufactured by Zhejiang H.Power Pharmaceutical and Tonghua Golden-Horse Pharmaceutical and is administered orally in capsule form.
