fengye kechuanping

Fengye Kechuanping is a Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) candidate developed by Suzhou Yusen New Drug Development for the treatment of acute bronchitis. The drug is an extract derived from the leaves of *Liquidambar formosana* Hance (Chinese sweet gum). It is primarily formulated as granules and is intended to treat symptoms such as cough, excessive phlegm, and wheezing, particularly those associated with the wind-heat attacking the lungs syndrome in TCM theory. Pharmacologically, the extract is believed to possess anti-inflammatory, antitussive, and expectorant properties, helping to clear heat and detoxify the respiratory tract. It has undergone Phase 2 and Phase 3 clinical trials in China to evaluate its efficacy and safety in pediatric and adult populations with acute bronchitis.
