Overview

FERMT2 siRNA is a small interfering RNA designed to silence the expression of Fermitin family member 2 (FERMT2), also known as Kindlin-2. In the context of esophageal squamous cell carcinoma (ESCC), FERMT2 has been identified as a target of miR-338-5p. Silencing FERMT2 using siRNA has been shown in preclinical studies to inhibit cancer cell proliferation, migration, and colony formation. Furthermore, FERMT2 knockdown enhances the sensitivity of ESCC cells to cisplatin-induced cytotoxicity, suggesting its potential as a therapeutic target to overcome chemoresistance.
