Drug intelligence / Profile preview
FerroFácil is an oral dietary supplement developed and marketed by Laboratório Gross. It is formulated as a combination of liposomal ferric pyrophosphate (30 mg) and liposomal ascorbic acid (70 mg). The supplement is designed to prevent and treat iron deficiency and iron deficiency anemia. The liposomal microencapsulation technology protects the nutrients during digestion, enhancing intestinal absorption and bioavailability while minimizing common gastrointestinal side effects associated with conventional iron supplements, such as nausea, burning, and metallic taste. Ascorbic acid acts synergistically by reducing ferric iron to the more absorbable ferrous form and serving as an essential cofactor for collagen synthesis and antioxidant defense.
