**Ferropolysaccharide** is an experimental magnetically guided embolic suspension developed for locoregional tumor therapy. It consists of iron sponge microspheres suspended in a viscous polysaccharide vehicle containing dextran 40 and sodium carboxymethyl cellulose. Delivered by transcatheter arterial embolization under an external magnetic field, the material produces persistent intraparenchymal vascular occlusion, causing ischemic tumor necrosis and regression. Early animal studies and limited clinical use in hepatoma and renal cell carcinoma were reported; no marketed product or contemporary development program was identified.
