Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Rerifer-CT is an oral hematinic combination developed and marketed by Ind Blues Pharma. It is formulated as a chewable tablet (often with a tangy mango flavor) containing ferrous calcium citrate (which provides elemental iron) and folic acid (vitamin B9). The product is indicated for the treatment and prevention of iron deficiency anemia and other nutritional deficiencies, particularly during pregnancy or periods of increased nutritional demand. Ferrous calcium citrate is a highly bioavailable iron source that replenishes depleted iron stores to support hemoglobin synthesis and red blood cell production, while folic acid is essential for DNA synthesis, cell division, and proper red blood cell maturation.
