Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Fexaflu is an oral antihistamine marketed by Medimet Pharmaceuticals in Bangladesh. It contains fexofenadine hydrochloride, a second-generation H1-receptor antagonist. As a small molecule, fexofenadine works by selectively blocking peripheral H1 receptors, preventing histamine-mediated allergic responses without significant sedative effects due to its limited ability to cross the blood-brain barrier. It is indicated for the symptomatic relief of seasonal allergic rhinitis and chronic idiopathic urticaria. Fexaflu is available as a generic film-coated tablet formulation.
