Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Fexofast is a second-generation antihistamine developed and marketed by Eurodrug. Its active ingredient is fexofenadine hydrochloride, which acts as a selective peripheral Histamine H1 receptor antagonist. The drug is indicated for the treatment of allergic conditions, specifically allergic rhinitis (hay fever) and chronic idiopathic urticaria (hives). As a non-sedating small molecule, Fexofast provides rapid and sustained relief from allergic symptoms without readily crossing the blood-brain barrier. It is typically available in tablet formulations, such as Fexofast-180, and is designed for once-daily dosing to improve patient compliance.
