Overview

FF-10158 is a radioligand therapy under clinical development for the treatment of several cancers, including recurrent glioblastoma multiforme (GBM), pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma, and gastroesophageal adenocarcinoma. The drug consists of the small molecule FF-10158 radiolabeled with either lutetium 177 or gallium 68 isotopes. Its mechanism of action involves targeting integrin alpha V (ITGAV), integrin beta 3 (ITGB3), and integrin beta 5 (ITGB5) on tumor cells. The lutetium-labeled version is being developed as a therapeutic agent emitting ionizing radiation to kill cancer cells, while the gallium-labeled version serves as a diagnostic agent for positron emission tomography imaging. The drug is administered parenterally and was originally developed by FUJIFILM Holdings but is now being advanced by Advanced Accelerator Applications, a subsidiary of Novartis[1][2][3][4][5][7][8].
