Drug intelligence / Profile preview
FG-001 is a preclinical host-directed therapeutic program being developed by FireGate Biotech as a functional cure for HIV. Operating under a 'Block → Wake → Kill' framework, FG-001 is designed to achieve durable viral remission by simultaneously targeting three converging axes of the host immune response: CCR5-mediated viral entry and immune cell trafficking, PD-1/PD-L1 checkpoint signaling to reverse T-cell exhaustion, and virus neutralization using broadly neutralizing antibodies (bNAbs). This triplet immunotherapy is conceptualized as an add-on to standard antiretroviral therapy (ART) to debulk the latent viral reservoir and restore long-term immune control.
