Overview

FH-WT1-E50 TCR T cells is an autologous, T-cell receptor (TCR) engineered T-cell therapy developed by the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center. The product consists of both CD4+ and CD8+ T cells genetically modified to express a specific TCR that recognizes the Wilms Tumor 1 (WT1) antigen in the context of HLA-A*02:01. A unique feature of this therapy is the co-expression of the CD8 alpha/beta (CD8ab) coreceptor, which is intended to enhance the functional avidity and cytotoxic potential of the CD4+ T-cell subset against MHC class I-restricted targets. It is currently being evaluated in Phase I clinical trials for the treatment of patients with minimal residual disease (MRD) positive acute myeloid leukemia (AML), often administered following lymphodepletion and in combination with azacitidine to promote antigen expression and T-cell persistence.
