Fibraxine

Fibraxine is a prebiotic dietary supplement developed by Alfasigma (formerly Alfa Wassermann). It is a combination product containing partially hydrolyzed guar gum (PHGG) and lactoferrin. PHGG is a water-soluble fiber that serves as a prebiotic substrate, selectively stimulating the growth and activity of beneficial gut bacteria such as *Bifidobacterium* and *Lactobacillus*. This fermentation process produces short-chain fatty acids (SCFAs), which help regulate intestinal motility and improve stool consistency. Lactoferrin, a multifunctional glycoprotein, contributes to the maintenance of gut homeostasis and supports the intestinal immune system. Fibraxine is primarily used to support digestive health and manage symptoms associated with functional gastrointestinal disorders, such as irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) and chronic constipation.
