Fibrega

Fibrega is a topical biologic spray containing plasma-derived fibronectin (0.5 mg/ml), developed by MG Lifecare. It is primarily indicated for the prevention and mitigation of radiation-induced skin damage and radiation dermatitis in cancer patients undergoing radiotherapy. Fibronectin is a high-molecular-weight glycoprotein of the extracellular matrix that plays a critical role in cell adhesion, migration, and tissue repair. In irradiated skin, endogenous fibronectin levels are often depleted; Fibrega provides exogenous fibronectin to promote extracellular matrix repair and accelerate wound healing. Beyond oncology supportive care, it is also indicated for chronic non-healing wounds, including venous ulcers, diabetic foot ulcers, and pressure ulcers. The product is approved by the Central Drugs Standard Control Organisation (CDSCO) in India and is marketed as the world's first commercial fibronectin spray.
