Fibrobody siRNA Conjugates are investigational therapeutics developed by LinXis Biopharmaceuticals that combine proprietary "Fibrobodies"—engineered antibody fragments targeting activated myofibroblasts—with small interfering RNA (siRNA) payloads. The goal is to deliver potent anti-fibrotic and anti-contractile siRNAs directly to disease-driving myofibroblasts in fibrotic conditions such as liver fibrosis, metabolic dysfunction-associated steatohepatitis (MASH), and pulmonary arterial hypertension. The mechanism of action involves targeted delivery of therapeutic siRNAs via the Fibrobodies, which are designed to recognize cell-surface markers like PDGFRB on activated myofibroblasts, thereby enhancing cellular uptake and gene silencing specifically in fibrotic tissues[1][3]. This approach aims to overcome the poor cellular uptake typically seen with naked or systemically delivered siRNAs.
