Overview

**Fibrovid** is a commercially available topical antiseptic and wound-healing ointment developed by Fibroheal. It combines povidone-iodine, a polyvinylpyrrolidone-iodine complex, with silk protein. The product is positioned as a broad-spectrum wound antiseptic for skin and wound pathogens and as a wound-care biomaterial intended to support an environment conducive to wound closure and healing. Fibroheal lists its uses as common skin infections, diabetic foot ulcers, infected stasis ulcers, pressure ulcers, minor burns, cuts, scalds, lacerations, abrasions, and post-operative wounds.
