Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Nutshell Therapeutics is developing a small molecule allosteric activator targeting an undisclosed protein, referred to as FIC, for the treatment of metabolic diseases. The program is being advanced using the company's proprietary AI-powered AlloStar™ platform, which is designed to identify and drug allosteric sites on proteins that are traditionally difficult to target with orthosteric ligands. Currently in the IND-enabling stage, this program represents Nutshell's strategic expansion into metabolic indications, leveraging their expertise in allosteric modulation originally established in oncology.
