Overview

FILIP1LΔC103 is a COOH-terminal truncation mutant (amino acids 1–790) of Filamin A Interacting Protein 1-Like (FILIP1L), used experimentally as a gene therapy for cancer. Delivered via nanogel-encapsulated recombinant plasmid, FILIP1LΔC103 inhibits tumor cell proliferation and angiogenesis, and induces apoptosis in ovarian cancer models. In preclinical studies, it has demonstrated enhanced anti-tumor effects, especially when combined with cisplatin, and acts primarily by suppressing tumor growth and blocking new vessel formation (anti-angiogenic effect)[1].
