Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Fimosin Gel is a topical pediatric medical device developed by Epitech Group SpA for the symptomatic treatment of inflammatory conditions of the male genital area. Its primary active ingredient is **adelmidrol**, a synthetic ALIAmide (Autacoid Local Injury Antagonism amide) and N-acylethanolamine derivative. Adelmidrol acts by modulating the activation of local mast cells and non-neuronal immune cells, thereby exerting anti-inflammatory and soothing effects. The gel is specifically indicated for the relief of redness, edema, erythema, burning, and itching associated with balanitis and balanoposthitis. It is also used for the resolution of physiological phimosis in pediatric patients and as a post-surgical treatment for pathological phimosis. The formulation includes additional components such as hyaluronic acid, phytosphingosine, and biotin to support hydration and the restoration of the mucocutaneous barrier.
