Fin-espam

Fin-espam is a branded generic line of antispasmodic medications developed and marketed by the Colombian pharmaceutical company Laboratorios Laproff. The primary active ingredient is hyoscine (also known as scopolamine or hioscina), a small molecule muscarinic acetylcholine receptor antagonist. Hyoscine works by blocking the action of acetylcholine on smooth muscle cells, thereby relieving spasms in the gastrointestinal, biliary, and urinary tracts. The Fin-espam product range includes single-ingredient tablets (10 mg and 25 mg) and combination formulations such as Fin-espam Fem, which contains 20 mg of hyoscine and 400 mg of ibuprofen. This combination is specifically indicated for the treatment of dysmenorrhea, providing both antispasmodic relief and anti-inflammatory analgesia.
