Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Finotonlimab (SCT-I10A) is a humanized monoclonal antibody targeting the programmed cell death protein 1 (PD-1) receptor. Developed by Sinocelltech, it functions as an immune checkpoint inhibitor by blocking the interaction between PD-1 and its ligands, PD-L1 and PD-L2. This blockade prevents the down-regulation of T-cell activity, thereby enhancing the immune system's ability to identify and destroy tumor cells. Finotonlimab is being investigated for various solid tumors, with significant clinical focus on head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSCC). In collaboration with the Eye & ENT Hospital of Fudan University, it is specifically being evaluated in a Phase 2 trial as part of a neoadjuvant regimen combined with chemotherapy (cisplatin and nab-paclitaxel) for patients with locally advanced hypopharyngeal carcinoma.
