Fisiogen Ferro Forte

**Fisiogen Ferro Forte** is an oral dietary iron supplement marketed by Zambon. It provides 30 mg of iron as sucrosomal ferric pyrophosphate, an ultradispersed ferric pyrophosphate formulation enclosed in a Sucrosoma lipid and sucrose-ester matrix, together with vitamin C. The delivery system is intended to protect iron from direct gastric-mucosal exposure and support intestinal absorption and tolerability. It is used to supplement dietary iron in iron-deficiency states or when iron requirements are increased. The product was evaluated as oral liposomal iron in the BARIFER study in women with iron deficiency requiring chronic intravenous iron replacement after Roux-en-Y gastric bypass surgery.
