fispemifene

Fispemifene is an orally available selective estrogen receptor modulator (SERM) developed primarily for the treatment of male urological conditions, including secondary hypogonadism, chronic prostatitis, and lower urinary tract symptoms. It acts as a tissue-specific SERM and was designed to address symptoms associated with low serum testosterone in men. Fispemifene was originally developed by Hormos Medical and later by Forendo Pharma (a subsidiary of Organon), with Apricus Biosciences obtaining US development and commercialization rights. The drug reached Phase II clinical trials for hypogonadism but its development has since been discontinued[6][8].
