Overview
The fixed phage cocktail is a therapeutic bacteriophage preparation developed by the Army Characteristic Medical Center of the People's Liberation Army of China. It is designed to treat refractory respiratory tract infections caused by multidrug-resistant (MDR) *Pseudomonas aeruginosa*. The cocktail consists of a standardized (fixed) mixture of lytic bacteriophages that specifically target and lyse *P. aeruginosa* cells. Administered via nebulization, the drug is intended to be used as an adjunct to standard antibiotic therapy, potentially providing a synergistic effect and overcoming bacterial resistance mechanisms. The asset is currently being evaluated in a randomized, double-blind, parallel-group clinical trial to assess its safety and efficacy in adult patients with MDR *P. aeruginosa* lung infections.
