Overview

FKC211 is an autologous chimeric antigen receptor T-cell (CAR-T) therapy targeting folate receptor alpha (FOLR1). Developed by Fosun Pharma USA, it is designed for the treatment of epithelial ovarian cancer (EOC), a malignancy where FOLR1 is often highly expressed. The therapy involves the ex vivo genetic modification of a patient's own T cells to express a CAR specific to FOLR1, which, upon re-infusion, enables the T cells to recognize and eliminate FOLR1-positive tumor cells. FKC211 is currently in Phase 1 clinical development.
