Drug intelligence / Profile preview
FL-33 is an investigational chimeric antigen receptor T cell (CAR T) therapy specifically engineered to target the CD33 antigen, which is commonly expressed on the surface of myeloid leukemia cells. The therapy involves collecting a patient's own T cells, genetically modifying them to express a CAR that recognizes CD33, and then infusing these modified cells back into the patient to attack and destroy cancerous cells. FL-33 is being evaluated for safety and efficacy in patients with refractory or relapsed acute myeloid leukemia (AML). It represents an optimized approach to targeting CD33-positive malignancies using cellular immunotherapy[1][2].
