Overview

FL-SSTR2 is a preclinical radionuclide drug conjugate (RDC) developed by Full Life Technologies, targeting the somatostatin receptor 2 (SSTR2). SSTR2 is a well-validated target in nuclear medicine, frequently overexpressed in neuroendocrine tumors (NETs) and other malignancies such as small cell lung cancer (SCLC) and certain breast cancers. FL-SSTR2 utilizes the company's proprietary UniRDC platform to conjugate a high-affinity SSTR2-targeting ligand with a therapeutic radioisotope. The mechanism involves the specific binding of the conjugate to SSTR2 on the tumor cell surface, followed by internalization and the delivery of localized ionizing radiation, which induces lethal DNA damage in the cancer cells. This targeted approach aims to provide potent anti-tumor activity while sparing non-target tissues.
