Drug intelligence / Profile preview
FL922 is a small molecule camptothecin analog currently in preclinical development by Canget BioTekpharma for the treatment of head and neck cancer. As an analog of FL118, it is designed to inhibit the expression of anti-apoptotic proteins, most notably survivin, as well as other members of the Inhibitor of Apoptosis (IAP) family such as Mcl-1, XIAP, and cIAP2. FL118 and its derivatives function by suppressing the promoter activity of these genes, thereby overcoming treatment resistance in various solid tumors. FL922 is currently in the in vitro testing phase, aimed at improving the pharmacological profile and therapeutic efficacy of the parent compound.
