Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Flamigel RT is a hydro-active colloid gel developed by Flen Health specifically for the symptomatic treatment of radiotherapy-induced skin reactions, also known as radiation dermatitis. It is indicated for both low-grade reactions, such as redness, dryness, and itching (dry desquamation), and more severe reactions involving skin breakdown and blistering (moist desquamation). The gel works by forming a protective barrier against external contamination, maintaining a moist environment conducive to wound healing, and providing a cooling effect to alleviate discomfort. Classified as a medical device, it is applied topically three times daily starting from the initiation of radiotherapy treatment.
