Overview
Flavonoid-rich fraction from Bacopa floribunda (FBF) is a botanical extract derived from the medicinal plant *Bacopa floribunda* (R.Br.) Wettst, which is traditionally used as a cognitive enhancer. FBF is being investigated for its neuroprotective, antioxidant, and anti-inflammatory properties in preclinical models of Alzheimer's disease. In animal models of amyloid-beta (Aβ1-42)-induced dementia, FBF has been shown to ameliorate amyloidogenesis, reduce phosphorylated tau (P-tau) and acetylcholinesterase (AChE) levels, suppress microgliosis, and increase brain-derived neurotrophic factor (BDNF) expression, thereby mitigating cognitive deficits and neuroinflammation.
