Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Flawlizo is a topical dermatology product line developed by Emcutix Biopharmaceuticals, a subsidiary of Emcure Pharmaceuticals, launched in India in June 2025. The range encompasses both over-the-counter (OTC) products, such as the Flawlizo Acne Spot Corrector and Acne Care Moisturizing Gel, and five prescription-only formulations containing tretinoin (retinoic acid). Tretinoin, a vitamin A derivative, acts as an agonist for retinoic acid receptors (RARs), which modulates gene expression to increase epithelial cell turnover and decrease the cohesiveness of follicular epithelial cells. This mechanism effectively unblocks pores and prevents the formation of acne lesions, including pimples, whiteheads, and blackheads. The prescription products are manufactured by Encube Ethicals using tretinoin sourced from Italy.
