**Flixovate** is a brand name for fluticasone propionate 0.005% topical ointment, a potent synthetic glucocorticoid corticosteroid developed by GlaxoSmithKline for treating inflammatory and pruritic manifestations of corticosteroid-responsive dermatoses, such as atopic dermatitis and psoriasis. It activates glucocorticoid receptors in the skin to reduce inflammation, itching, redness, and swelling by modulating immune responses, inhibiting inflammatory mediators, and inducing vasoconstriction.
