Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Floradix mit Eisen is an oral liquid iron supplement containing ferrous gluconate, herbal extracts, fruit juices, and vitamins (B1, B2, B6, B12, and C). Developed by SALUS Haus, it is designed to replenish systemic iron stores and support hemoglobin synthesis while minimizing the gastrointestinal side effects often associated with iron supplementation. The inclusion of fruit juices and vitamin C (ascorbic acid) enhances the absorption of divalent iron. It is primarily indicated for the prevention and treatment of iron deficiency and iron deficiency anemia, particularly in high-demand groups such as pregnant and breastfeeding women. The product is available over-the-counter and has been evaluated in Phase IV clinical trials to assess its efficacy and safety compared to standard iron salts.
