Drug intelligence / Profile preview
FLQ-105 is an investigational oral small molecule drug candidate being developed by FELIQS for the treatment of Geographic Atrophy (GA) and wet Age-related Macular Degeneration (wet AMD). Developed using FELIQS's proprietary "Redox Control" platform, the drug is designed to mitigate oxidative stress and inflammation in the retina, which are critical factors in the progression of retinal pigment epithelium (RPE) degeneration and choroidal neovascularization. By targeting lipid peroxidation and associated inflammatory pathways, FLQ-105 aims to provide a neuroprotective effect and prevent vision loss. As an oral therapy, it represents a potentially less invasive alternative or adjunct to current standard-of-care intravitreal anti-VEGF injections. The candidate is currently in the IND-enabling stage of development.
