Flu-M Tetra

Flu-M Tetra is a quadrivalent inactivated split influenza vaccine developed and manufactured by the Saint Petersburg Scientific Research Institute of Vaccines and Sera (SPbSRIVS) of the Federal Medical and Biological Agency (FMBA) of Russia. The vaccine is a biologic containing inactivated split influenza viruses cultivated on chick embryos, representing four influenza virus strains (two A strains and two B strains) with 15 µg of hemagglutinin from each strain, updated annually according to WHO recommendations. The vaccine targets influenza virus hemagglutinins and is designed for active annual preventive immunization against seasonal influenza. It was initially registered for use in adults aged 18 to 60 years and is being evaluated in Phase 3 trials for extension to children aged 6 months to 17 years and adults aged 60 years and above. Flu-M Tetra is administered as an intramuscular injection and promotes the generation of serum antibodies against influenza virus hemagglutinins, providing immunity for 6-12 months.
